Separate the mainland visit from island transport
If your itinerary includes Piraeus, identify whether the stop is a hotel, a city visit or ship boarding. Vehicle carriage on a ferry and onward island transport need explicit assessment; a mainland drop-off quote does not establish either. Work backwards from the Acropolis admission time
An Acropolis visit needs a transport schedule tied to the actual admission booking. The official archaeological-site ticket service requires entry at the selected time. Give the booked date, admission window and entrance instructions when requesting transport for an Athens group visit, rather than using the ticket time as the moment the coach should arrive. Check the official ticket conditions for the group’s booking.
Allow for unloading, regrouping and the walk from a permitted vehicle stop to the entrance. State any walking or step-access needs before vehicle allocation. If the programme includes both the archaeological site and a museum, identify each booking separately and ask the operator to assess the journey between them. Agree a return meeting location and group contact before everyone leaves the vehicle.
Specify the port, vessel and boarding deadline
Athens has three distinct ferry departure ports: Piraeus, Rafina and Lavrio. The official Athens onward-travel guide lists them separately. “Athens port” is insufficient for a group transfer, and a cruise terminal should not be assumed to be the same collection point as a ferry gate.
For a port transfer, send the vessel name, sailing date, port and gate or terminal from the booking, plus the required check-in time. List cases and any equipment as well as passengers. If the day starts with an airport arrival or city visit, include that whole sequence so feasibility can be assessed. Any island transport or onward ferry travel needs its own explicit arrangement; a mainland coach quotation does not by itself cover it.

From the Athens geographic reference, Tripoli is approximately 129.8 km away in a straight line and Volos is 168.3 km away. Tripoli is listed in Peloponnese; Volos is listed in Thessaly. The more distant stop needs to be treated as a separate stage of the itinerary, including any connections or overnight plans. These are map measurements, not driving distances; a feasible route and vehicle allocation must be assessed in the quotation.
What time should an Athens coach reach the Acropolis?
