Choose transport around the French itinerary
France has high-speed and regional trains, with metro, tram and bus networks serving many urban journeys. Compare a rail-based trip with private hire when the group is travelling between central stations. Airport and railway-station collection
Use the full airport or station name on the booking and include the flight or train number. For a group arriving in Paris, the airport name and terminal matter; a request labelled only “Paris arrival” is not enough to identify the collection. At a railway station, agree a meeting point and permitted vehicle stop rather than assuming collection at the platform exit.

For a group travelling by rail for the longer leg, request local transfers at the arrival and departure stations instead of assuming one vehicle follows the entire programme. Include the exact station and agreed entrance for each city, as well as the luggage and time needed to gather the group.
Paris coach parking and other local rules
Paris manages designated coach parking through its PASS Autocar system. The official site provides parking maps, current documents and the applicable passes. This concerns Paris arrangements; it should not be applied as a single national rule for France. Read the official PASS Autocar information.
Give every hotel and venue address, plus an acceptable walking distance. Ask the operator to check collection, access and longer waiting separately. An available passenger stop does not necessarily permit the coach to remain there during a visit.
Plan the French visit around the booked admission
For a group based in Paris, a visit to Versailles needs more detail than “a day’s coach hire”. Give the booked visit type, entry time, hotel and intended return. The Palace’s group-visit information distinguishes guided and self-guided arrangements and identifies admission entrances. Use the instructions for your booking to plan arrival and walking time; passenger drop-off and longer coach parking must also be confirmed.
If the programme continues to another region, state where the group sleeps after the visit and whether luggage stays on the vehicle. A coach returning to the Paris hotel has a different duty from one carrying the group onward to its next base. Turn the regional itinerary into local collection plans
Northern arrivals and Normandy
For a northern France programme, use Amiens, Calais and Dunkerque according to the actual stops. If arriving by ferry, name the passenger terminal and crossing separately. In Normandy, consult Caen, Le Havre and Évreux for the local hotel or venue brief. Keep a port transfer distinct from a day of visits and state where the group sleeps before the next departure.
Brittany, the Loire and western bases
A visit including Brest, Nantes or Le Mans needs the local arrival point as well as the wider route. For Tours, Orléans and Bourges, use the city guides to identify the accommodation and collection details to supply. When combining bases, show the order of nights and any rail arrivals rather than assuming every city can be covered in one day.
Eastern France
For stops in Reims, Troyes, Metz, Nancy or Strasbourg, record the hotel, timed visit and return collection for each city. If the journey continues into another country, mark that leg and the next overnight base explicitly instead of treating a national border as an unspecified local transfer.
Southwestern and southern stays
Use Bordeaux, Limoges, Poitiers and Pau for the relevant southwestern stays. For an itinerary involving Toulouse, Montpellier or Perpignan, prepare the local pickup and luggage details from the individual guide. Decide which days are hotel transfers and which require a vehicle to remain during visits; that distinction is more useful for a quote than a list of cities alone.
