Borghese Gallery visits may need separate group entry slots
The Borghese Gallery’s group guidance sets limits for guided groups and separate arrangements for school parties. A coach carrying a large party does not mean everyone can enter the gallery together. Confirm the actual group reservations first, then give each entry time and subgroup size in the transport brief. Roma Mobilità operates separate ZTL BUS A, B and C zones. The central ZTL BUS C is generally closed to tourist coaches, with specific authorised exceptions. A general coach booking does not establish access to every historic-centre address. Give the exact hotel and venue addresses so the assigned vehicle and required permits can be checked.
Treat the Vatican and Colosseum as planned movements
The official coach scheme has specific arrangements for the Colosseum and Vatican areas. Match the transport request to your actual admission reservations and give the operator both the arrival and return collection requirements. A stop that works for one visit may not suit the next. Colosseum tickets determine the group’s ready-to-enter time
The Colosseum’s official ticket information requires a reserved entry time and tickets in each visitor’s name, with identification shown at entry. A coach arrival at the booked ticket time leaves no allowance for walking from the permitted stop, gathering the party or completing entry checks.
Send the confirmed admission time and entrance instructions with the transport brief, and ask for the group to be ready before that slot. Keep tickets and required identification accessible rather than packed in luggage left on the vehicle. If a larger party has several entry groups, list their separate times and agree whether they reunite for one return collection or need staggered transport.
Vatican visits: decide where luggage stays and where the tour ends
The Vatican Museums’ visitor guidance requires unsuitable large items to be left in the cloakroom and specifically warns visitors continuing to St Peter’s Basilica not to leave baggage at the Museums.
