A Lindt visit is a Kilchberg stop in your Zürich itinerary
Lindt Home of Chocolate’s official arrival page gives its address in Kilchberg and distinguishes the building entrance from the underground car-park approach on Seestrasse. Put the actual attraction and visit time in your transport brief rather than using a general Zürich city-centre stop. Ask the operator and venue to agree a suitable coach set-down; directions for cars do not establish coach access.
The venue describes small luggage lockers, so do not assume those will hold a group’s airport suitcases. If the visit falls between an airport arrival and hotel check-in, confirm a separate luggage plan. State whether the vehicle waits during the visit and whether any passengers need a shorter or step-free route from the agreed stop.
Lindt also advises advance online booking because of demand. Set the pickup timetable around the confirmed visit, allowing time to gather the party before boarding again. If the programme continues to a lake stop or another city, include that address and any fixed departure time. Our Zürich group itinerary guide helps organise the stages without treating a vehicle enquiry as an attraction reservation.

Prepare your Zurich journey brief
- Arrival: If your flight uses Zürich Airport (ZRH) or Sankt Gallen Altenrhein Airport (ACH), give the airport on your ticket, flight number and arrival date. Add the full Zurich hotel or venue address; these airport references do not establish a road route or a collection point.
- An airport arrival with several stops: If your flight is booked at Zürich Airport (ZRH), use Winterthur arrival planning and Zug arrival planning for the separate hotel or venue addresses. Say whether the enquiry covers one continuous itinerary or individual local transfers, with passengers and bags for each leg.
- Group and return: Include passengers, luggage and mobility needs. Put any return date, pickup time and departure flight or train in the message field.
Zürich Flughafen and Zürich HB need different collection instructions
Zurich Airport has both local and longer-distance rail connections. Its guidance distinguishes trains to Zürich Hauptbahnhof from onward Swiss services, while tram connections also serve places such as Oerlikon and Glattbrugg. An airport arrival does not mean every traveller must first go to the city’s main station.
For a Zurich group minibus, decide whether everyone will meet at the airport, Zürich HB or a named hotel. Include the full station name for rail passengers. If the group continues elsewhere in Switzerland, compare a direct onward rail connection with the complete vehicle itinerary rather than adding a city-centre detour by default.
Other stops to consider
Compare Zurich with these other destinations in Switzerland. Distances below are geographic references, not road distances or quoted journey times.
Sihlquai is a named bus station, not any Zürich HB exit
The city identifies Zürich Bus Station at Ausstellungsstrasse 15 on Sihlquai as a facility for travel and long-distance buses. It distinguishes terminal spaces from waiting spaces. A group arriving by train should receive a precise meeting instruction instead of being told only to look for the coach “at the main station”.
Confirm whether the operator plans to use this facility, the walk from the railway arrival platform and any assistance required with bags. Allocate time to assemble everyone before boarding, especially when members arrive on separate trains. Ask which station access and waiting charges are included in your coach hire quotation; a public facility listing does not reserve a place.
Messe Zürich: plan for Oerlikon and the event entrance
Messe Zürich’s travel information routes public-transport visitors through Oerlikon. Treat the exhibition venue, Zürich HB and Zurich Airport as separate meeting locations. For delegates already staying near a suitable rail connection, compare that option with a booked group vehicle using the actual accommodation addresses and exhibition schedule.
For a private shuttle, send the hall or event entrance, registration deadline and return programme rather than only the venue name. If airport arrivals bring suitcases or exhibition materials, say whether these travel to a hotel first or remain with an agreed vehicle service. List setup staff separately from delegates when their reporting times differ, and have the operator confirm the permitted passenger stop with the organiser.

Your Zurich transport questions
Do we need to meet at Zürich HB after arriving at the airport?
Only if that fits the itinerary. The airport has direct rail links into Zurich and onward across Switzerland. Agree one named meeting location and distinguish Zürich Flughafen from Zürich HB.
What is the distance between ZRH and Zurich?
The airport and destination map references are approximately 10 km apart in a straight line. A road journey can differ substantially. Provide the actual address in Zurich; the map distance is not a promise of transfer time or fare.
Where will our group meet the vehicle at ZRH?
The meeting arrangement for Zürich Airport (ZRH) must be confirmed with the booking. Do not assume a coach can collect at any terminal door. Give the flight and terminal details, and keep the lead passenger contact available for the agreed collection instructions.
Can we continue from Zurich to Winterthur?
Include the next stop in Winterthur and its address in the initial brief. State whether it is a short visit, an overnight stay or the final destination; those are different vehicle and driver requirements.
How do the Winterthur and Zug stops compare from Zurich?
From the Zurich geographic reference, Winterthur is approximately 20.3 km away in a straight line and Zug is 21.7 km away. Winterthur is listed in Zurich; Zug is listed in Zug. The first two distances are close, so they give little basis for choosing the visit order. Use your actual addresses and appointment times. These are map measurements, not driving distances; a feasible route and vehicle allocation must be assessed in the quotation.
Is “Zürich HB” enough information for a coach collection?
No. Agree the exact meeting point and the walking route from the railway arrival. If the operator uses Zürich Bus Station at Sihlquai, state that explicitly in the passenger instructions.
Connect the journey details
Describe boarding needs and mobility equipment early, then confirm the offered vehicle’s accessibility. Accessible Coach & Minibus Hire: Questions to Ask.
For the rest of the itinerary, see Switzerland transport planning and airport transfers, corporate transport. Availability and the vehicle specification are confirmed in your quotation.
Plan the next part of your journey
For a Zurich-based group visiting Rapperswil, provide the actual venue or meeting point rather than a general lakeside location. Include the planned time at the visit and distinguish a waiting vehicle from a later return collection.
