Prepare your Luoyang journey brief
- Arrival: If your flight uses Luoyang Beijiao Airport (LYA) or Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport (CGO), give the airport on your ticket, flight number and arrival date. Add the full Luoyang hotel or venue address; these airport references do not establish a road route or a collection point.
- Check the complete route between stops: The geographic references put Zhengzhou (about 111 km) and Handan (about 284 km) from Luoyang in a straight line. Use those destination guides to collect the actual entrances and required arrival times. Road distance, access and any non-road connection need checking against the complete itinerary, rather than these map measurements.
- Group and return: Include passengers, luggage and mobility needs. Put any return date, pickup time and departure flight or train in the message field.
Longmen’s service areas and the grotto entrance are separate stages
The Longmen Grottoes visitor site distinguishes the northeast and northwest service areas from the ticket-check entrance and describes walking or local electric-cart connections between them. Ask which service area and entrance your booking uses before agreeing the road drop-off. The transport quotation should identify the group’s meeting point after the visit, luggage arrangements and mobility needs. A coach journey to the visitor area does not include attraction admission or the site’s local transport unless the quotation explicitly says so.
If the programme includes Zhengzhou, identify it as an intercity leg. Zhengzhou transport planning helps identify the next stage. Include its actual address, luggage and return requirement.
Use the China transport guide for a wider itinerary, or include your flight and final address in an airport group-transfer enquiry.

Your Luoyang transport questions
Can a coach drop the group at the grotto ticket-check entrance?
Do not assume direct access. The attraction describes service areas and onward walking or local electric-cart connections. Agree the permitted road drop-off and meeting point for the actual visit.
What is the distance between LYA and Luoyang?
The airport and destination map references are approximately 9 km apart in a straight line. A road journey can differ substantially. Provide the actual address in Luoyang; the map distance is not a promise of transfer time or fare.
Where will our group meet the vehicle at LYA?
The meeting arrangement for Luoyang Beijiao Airport (LYA) must be confirmed with the booking. Do not assume a coach can collect at any terminal door. Give the flight and terminal details, and keep the lead passenger contact available for the agreed collection instructions.
Can we continue from Luoyang to Zhengzhou?
Include the next stop in Zhengzhou and its address in the initial brief. State whether it is a short visit, an overnight stay or the final destination; those are different vehicle and driver requirements.
What luggage information is needed for a Luoyang arrival?
Give the total suitcases as well as passengers, plus any oversized cases, sports equipment, pushchairs or mobility aids. A group arriving at LYA needs enough luggage capacity for the whole journey; seat count alone does not confirm that capacity.
