Transport choices in Lithuania
Lithuania’s official visitor information distinguishes plane, bus, train and ferry arrival options. Your arrival point matters: a flight, intercity coach and ferry do not deliver a group to the same place or provide the same onward connection. Lithuania Travel’s arrival and transport guide.
City stays, coast visits and Baltic touring
Name the booked airport, station or port, then list the hotel and visitor addresses. A Vilnius stay can be planned separately from a programme continuing to the coast or another Baltic country. If the itinerary includes a sailing, specify the terminal, check-in requirement and whether a vehicle is needed on both sides of the connection.
For the local part of your request, explore Vilnius.
Vilnius airport station and the city railway station
The train connection at Vilnius Airport uses a station near the terminal, reached by a walk and steps or lift. The city railway station is a separate collection point. When comparing rail and private hire, include the terminal walk, the luggage the group carries and the onward movement from the city station to the accommodation.
For a journey continuing towards Kaunas, Klaipėda or another Baltic country, state where the road portion begins. If the group has already travelled by train, the driver needs the train’s destination station and arrival details, not the earlier flight alone. The Vilnius arrival guide helps distinguish these points; ferry arrivals at the coast need their own terminal and sailing.
Make the arrival and departure points clear
A tour can start and end in different places, so list the airport, station or port at each end alongside overnight accommodation. Give the timing of regional visits and any continuation to another country. Note whether bags stay on the vehicle during stops.
Review vehicle and luggage requirements before selecting a size. Our hire-cost guide explains the kinds of itinerary changes to discuss; confirm waiting, parking, crossings and overnight arrangements where applicable.
Your Lithuania transport questions
Can one request cover a Lithuania trip continuing to another Baltic country?
List every country, stop and overnight base from the start. The full route and any different arrival or departure point must be assessed before the transport is confirmed.
What details are needed for group transport in Lithuania?
A tour can start and end in different places, so list the airport, station or port at each end alongside overnight accommodation. Give the timing of regional visits and any continuation to another country. Note whether bags stay on the vehicle during stops. Confirm the proposed vehicle and quote inclusions before booking.
Is a Vilnius airport pickup the same as a Vilnius railway-station pickup?
No. The airport has a nearby rail stop connected to the terminal by a walk, while the city station is elsewhere. Give the precise station or airport and the booked arrival before agreeing collection.
