Denmark’s transport network combines land, sea and air connections between its cities and islands. Public transport is an option for central journeys, while an itinerary involving islands needs the relevant crossing considered as part of the route. VisitDenmark’s practical transport information.

City transfers and island connections

For a Copenhagen event, supply the hotel addresses and venue entrance. For journeys continuing to Odense, Aarhus or an island, set out the travel order, overnight stays and any ferry already booked. A road route and a ferry-based route may have different check-in, waiting and vehicle arrangements, so request the complete itinerary rather than only a distance between cities.

Copenhagen airport and the onward meeting point

Copenhagen Airport’s metro station is connected to Terminal 3. That makes the metro a useful option to compare for central Copenhagen, but the station exit and the group’s final hotel still matter. A private vehicle collects at an agreed road location, not automatically at the metro entrance.

For a trip combining Copenhagen with Odense or Aarhus, decide which intercity legs will use rail and which need a vehicle. If the group continues into Sweden, name the actual Swedish destination and return requirement, rather than treating it as another Copenhagen city stop. The transport brief should show airport arrivals, hotel collection and any cross-border or island stage separately, with bags and equipment counted for each movement.

Include crossings in the transport brief

Give departure and destination addresses on both sides of any ferry journey, with sailing details if already booked. For an event shuttle, list the hotel groups and departure waves. Include a continuation to Sweden, Germany or another country before the vehicle is assessed.
