Plan your Jeddah transport around the details that affect each collection: the airport terminal, hotel entrance, passenger numbers and luggage. For a programme combining airport transfers, meetings and city visits, list each movement separately so the vehicle request reflects the whole journey.
Share your plans with Global Bus Rental for an individual quotation. Vehicle availability, the proposed route and the final price need to be confirmed before booking.
Confirm the terminal before arranging a Jeddah airport pickup
King Abdulaziz International Airport has Terminal 1, the North Terminal and the Hajj and Umrah Complex. Use the terminal shown for your flight rather than writing only “Jeddah Airport” in the transport brief. For the official terminal descriptions, see King Abdulaziz International Airport: terminals.
Send the flight number, travel date, scheduled arrival time and terminal together. For passengers arriving on different flights, show the passenger and luggage count for each arrival and say whether you want separate collections or one onward departure after the group has gathered.
The airport publishes designated pickup and drop-off areas for Terminal 1 and the North Terminal. Confirm the collection location for the booked vehicle before travel; a general terminal address is not a complete meeting instruction. Include a group leader’s contact number and ask where passengers should wait while the vehicle approaches. See King Abdulaziz International Airport: parking and transport.
Give Al-Balad visits and Corniche stops an exact meeting point
Historic Jeddah, also known as Al-Balad, is the city’s UNESCO-listed historic district. For a guided visit, put the guide’s meeting point and the agreed return collection point in the itinerary. Ask the guide and transport provider to check where the vehicle can stop and how the group will reach the start of the visit. Read UNESCO: Historic Jeddah.
For the Corniche, name the waterfront section, venue or entrance you plan to visit. Visit Saudi: Jeddah waterfront areas describes different North and Central Corniche areas, so “the Corniche” alone leaves the destination unclear. State whether the stop is a short visit or includes a meal or activity, then give a return time and meeting point.
For hotel and event transfers, include the full property name and the entrance supplied by the organiser. If the outward and return journeys use different entrances, list both.
Keep rail connections and onward journeys in the same plan
If your itinerary includes the Haramain railway, use the exact station and departure time on your ticket when requesting the road transfer. Leave time for unloading, moving the group through the station and boarding. Check the railway’s current baggage guidance before choosing a rail connection, especially when passengers have several suitcases or large equipment. Read Haramain High Speed Railway: travel tips and Haramain High Speed Railway: baggage guidance.
For an onward journey to Makkah or Madinah, give the destination address, travel date and any planned intermediate stops. State which journeys you want assessed by road and which are already booked by rail. For an organised pilgrimage group, include the collection arrangements provided by the group organiser.
Prepare your Jeddah journey brief
- Passenger count for each movement, including any changes during the trip.
- Number of suitcases, hand bags and larger items.
- Flight or train details, where relevant.
- Full hotel, venue and destination addresses, with meeting points.
- Dates and times for each collection and return journey.
- Any mobility requirements, including whether a passenger needs to remain in a wheelchair during travel.
- Whether the vehicle should wait during a visit or return for a later collection.
An example programme could include an airport-to-hotel transfer, a separate Al-Balad visit and a later waterfront collection. List each part with its own location and time rather than relying on “Jeddah day tour” to describe the booking.
Your Jeddah transport questions
+What information is needed for an airport transfer quote?
Send the flight number, terminal, date, passenger count, luggage details and full destination address. Add separate flight details when the group arrives in stages.
+Can the request cover several hotels and venues?
List every collection and destination in order, with the number of passengers travelling on each leg. The proposed route and vehicle arrangements can then be considered in the quotation.
+Which vehicle size should I request?
Start with your passenger and luggage requirements. Include larger equipment and mobility needs so the proposed vehicle can be checked against the full brief; seat count alone does not describe the space required.
+How should I compare quotations?
Use the same itinerary for each quotation and check the stated vehicle, waiting arrangements, collection instructions and included charges. Confirm any changes to dates, stops or passenger numbers before accepting the booking.
