Prepare your Almaty journey brief
- Arrival: If your flight uses Almaty International Airport (ALA), give the airport on your ticket, flight number and arrival date. Add the full Almaty hotel or venue address; these airport references do not establish a road route or a collection point.
- Each movement: List the actual addresses and fixed arrival times for every stop. Say whether the vehicle should wait or whether you need a later pickup.
- Group and return: Include passengers, luggage and mobility needs. Put any return date, pickup time and departure flight or train in the message field.
Build your route
For a journey starting or ending outside Almaty, enter both addresses in the enquiry. Include any intermediate stops so the route, vehicle and driver schedule can be assessed together.
International and domestic arrivals need current terminal details
Kazakhstan’s transport ministry confirmed the move of Almaty’s international arrivals and departures to Terminal 2 in June 2024. Use the terminal on the current flight booking rather than a pre-expansion meeting point. Give each flight separately if the group includes domestic connections, and state whether luggage must be collected or continues with the airline. Ask the operator to confirm the passenger meeting point and suitable vehicle boarding area; a flight connection is not automatically a private airport-transfer booking.
Use the Kazakhstan transport guide for a wider itinerary, or include your flight and final address in an airport group-transfer enquiry.
Airport references for Almaty
These airport references are ordered by their approximate straight-line distance from the Almaty map reference. Road journeys can be longer and may involve different access arrangements; choose your actual arrival airport when requesting a quote.
For flight arrivals, compare airport coach and minibus transfers and include the booked airport, flight number and luggage in your enquiry.
Your Almaty transport questions
Why should we recheck old Almaty airport meeting instructions?
International services moved to the new Terminal 2 in 2024. Confirm the terminal for each current flight and obtain meeting instructions for that building.
What is the distance between ALA and Almaty?
The airport and destination map references are approximately 16 km apart in a straight line. A road journey can differ substantially. Provide the actual address in Almaty; the map distance is not a promise of transfer time or fare.
Where will our group meet the vehicle at ALA?
The meeting arrangement for Almaty International Airport (ALA) must be confirmed with the booking. Do not assume a coach can collect at any terminal door. Give the flight and terminal details, and keep the lead passenger contact available for the agreed collection instructions.
Can we continue from Almaty to another stop?
Include the next stop and its address in the initial brief. State whether it is a short visit, an overnight stay or the final destination; those are different vehicle and driver requirements.
What luggage information is needed for a Almaty arrival?
Give the total suitcases as well as passengers, plus any oversized cases, sports equipment, pushchairs or mobility aids. A group arriving at ALA needs enough luggage capacity for the whole journey; seat count alone does not confirm that capacity.
